Holi special tips: Don’t forget these 7 things while playing Holi

Those days are gone when people used to play Holi with flowers and natural colours. Nowadays people use synthetic colours, which have harmful chemicals that can spoil your eyes and skin. These
colours can have various harmful effects on your eyes from mild
irritation, burning sensation, allergy to even blindness.

Some colours are so harmful that can even cause cancer. That is why herbal colours should be used. Also, extra precaution has to be taken as far as your eyes are concerned.

Always cover your eyes whenever playing Holi. Sunglasses are the best during this time. Avoid letting people cover your entire face with colours and if you are unable to, then shut your eyes and take
your lips inside mouth while people apply colour on your face.

A hat also plays an important role in protecting eyes from harmful colours. Keep you cars glasses closed and avoid water balloons going inside.

Water and harmful-coloured water balloons are extremely dangerous for the corneas of your eyes. It can cause your eyes to even bleed.

To keep your eyes safe, apply a thick layer of cold cream around your eyes. This will help in removing colours when you wash your face. Use luke warm water to wash colours from your body.

Always keep the phone number of your eye doctor. You might need it during emergency.  Keep cleaning your eyes time to time while playing Holi. This reduces the chances of infection.

Make a powder of leaves of palash, besan, hina powder and hibiscus flowers and use that colour to play Holi or use the herbal colours available in
the market.

Wish you a Happy and Safe Holi.
